Hi, My name is Indre,

I’m the founder and CEO of Scaffolding in Cheshire. For me, everything started with property investing six years ago when I was working for an average salary at a school. My salary only just covered my son’s nursery costs and after eight years of studying business and economics, I knew I was worth more. This is when I started my property journey.

My partner had 15 years’ experience in the construction industry so together, we made the perfect team. In our third year in the property business we started renovating our own investment projects and established Ieremie Contractors LTD.

We had started to find that every third renovation project required scaffolding, which we rented from other companies, soon realising that we should be providing a full service for our clients. We set out to include everything, from rendering to scaffolding, to provide an all-in-one renovation solution.

So, after six years’ of experience in property investing we know how important and valuable time is and also how essential it is to be surrounded by a great team. That’s why we ensure we offer all of our clients not just a speedy and efficient service, but also a service which is safe and of the highest standards.

We created this scaffolding quote calculator to make quoting more time-efficient, not just for us but also for our customers. This is an automatic system enabling our customers to get an immediate, affordable, quote and book a site visit just by answering a few questions.

What is a Scaffold?

Scaffold, also called scaffolding or staging, is a temporary structure used to support a work crew and materials to aid in the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings, bridges and all other man made structures. Scaffolds are widely used on site to get access to heights and areas that would be otherwise hard to get to.

Question Mark Icon

Do you include support?

We will provide all the necessary support you might need. Just let us know exactly what your project needs are.

Question Mark Icon

What are the different types of scaffold?

There are three basic types of scaffolds:

Supported scaffolds, which consist of one or more platforms supported by rigid, load- bearing members, such as poles, legs, frames, outriggers, etc.

Suspended scaffolds, which are one or more platforms suspended by ropes or other non-rigid, overhead support.

Other scaffolds, principally man-lifts, personnel hoists, etc., which are sometimes thought of as vehicles or machinery, but can be regarded as another type of supported scaffold.

Question Mark Icon

How can scaffolding help my project?

Working from scaffolding is much easier and safer than working from a ladder. It’s stable, forms a wide work platform and provides a wide reach. You’ll do a better job in half the time by not having to constantly move a ladder. We show you how to set it up so it’s safe and secure.

Question Mark Icon

What is the height to base ratio for scaffolding?

The best height to base ratio for scaffolding is 1:4.

Question Mark Icon

How do you set up scaffolding?

Start at the highest point of the scaffolding. If possible, use the screw jack to bring the highest corner down closer to the sill. Next, bring all four corners up to that point. If the bottom cross braces of each frame are level with each other, then frames should also be plumb.

Question Mark Icon

Is fall protection required on scaffolding?

For employees in general industry, the height is 4 feet above a lower level. In construction work, the threshold height is 6 feet above a lower level. Fall protection on scaffolding is required at 10 feet.

Question Mark Icon

How is float scaffold supported?

A float, or ship, scaffold is a suspension scaffold consisting of a braced platform resting on two parallel bearers and hung from overhead supports by ropes of fixed length.
